Take a look at any Ordnance Survey map and you can often see shapes of figures outlined by the various byways of this country.<br /> <p>In several parts of England and Wales there have been found terrestrial zodiacs, where most or all of the twelve signs of the zodiac are depicted in the geometry of the features of the countryside. The Glastonbury Zodiac was the first to be discovered in the 1920s by Katherine Emma Maltwood.</p> <p>Since then, several other terrestrial zodiacs have been discovered, most notably in East Anglia, South Wales, Southern England and North West England. The largest of these is the Lamanche Zodiac, which stretches from near Garstang, north of Preston in Lancashire, across the Anglezarke Moors, through the west of Manchester and onto the foothills of east Cheshire. For instance, stress puts the nervous system out of balance.<br /><br />This is a time of exponential change. And most of us find our response is coping. The trouble is, we are fooling ourselves. Coping: denial, distraction, looking at things differently and/or taking pills catches up with us sooner or later. If we wish to live healthy lives, we have to eliminate the stress.<br /><br />We can adopt a way of being that ultimately allows us to do this. Yet much of the stress that causes our illness is generated by a memory that is contained in our cells. That memory, caused by a trauma, or passed on from ancestors, generates a belief, then a series of beliefs that limit us, can depress us and almost certainly unless addressed will make us ill.<br /><br />Many have a belief formed somewhere in their history along the lines of, 'I am worthless', 'I am nothing' or 'I am hopeless'. We can use a lot of energy in keeping these beliefs suppressed. It is self-evident that these beliefs are lies. Say it again: we believe in a lie (rarely do we know what it is), it generates stress, which closes our cells down and we become ill.<br /><br />Healing the memories returns us to wellness. That is what healing is and what it does.
